If we aren’t delivering lectures anymore, how will students learn the material?
While lectures are no longer a principal part of the Shared Discovery Curriculum, the curricular content is in fact, more carefully planned than it was before and we are confident that students will learn everything they need to be ready for USMLE 1 and 2. In fact, as these exams become more clinically integrated, one can make an argument that our students will be better prepared than students were in the legacy curriculum.
Just In Time Medicine drives the Shared Discovery Curriculum. The SCRIPT competencies serve to identify competency development goals and the Progress Suite of Assessments documents students’ progress longitudinally.
